Conventional wisdom suggests that good posture affects how others see us, but a new study has found it may boost our own confidence as well. Researchers found that study participants who were instructed to sit up straight and tall were much more likely to believe a list of positive and negative traits they wrote about themselves when compared to participants who were instructed to sit slouched over. The study's authors say this suggests that people's thoughts about themselves are influenced by their posture.
