Antidepressants can help within hours: study

Results from a new British study suggest that antidepressants begin working within hours to improve patients' mood. In a study of 33 depression patients, scientists found that study subjects showed positive improvements--such as more positive opinions of themselves--within three hours of taking antidepressants. But the researchers also say patients themselves may not notice the improvements until they've been on the meds for a few months.  Read full story >
