Treating Depression Helps Control Blood Sugar: Study

Researchers at Charles Drew University in Los Angeles have found that treating depression appears to help people with diabetes control their blood sugar. For the study, investigators looked at low-income patients who had poorly controlled blood sugar. They found that giving these patients antidepressant therapy both reduced their blood pressure and improved their long-term blood sugar control.  Read full story >
