Paxil Interferes with Breast Cancer Drug Tamoxifen

Canadian researchers have found that women who take the antidepressant Paxil along with the breast cancer drug tamoxifen may be lowering their chance of survival, since Paxil appears to reduce the effectiveness of tamoxifen. The scientists say women who are dealing with depression while taking tamoxifen should probably be prescribed another antidepressant so that they get the breast cancer drug's full effect.  Read full story >
