Antidepressants May Reduce Heart Risks

Scientists at Loyola University Medical Center have found that a class of antidepressants may help protect users' cardiovascular health. In a new study, the researchers found that antidepressants in the class known as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI) appear to slow the clumping of blood platelets, which may reduce the risk of blood clots and hardening of the arteries.   Read full story >
