Genes May Predict Who Will Live to Age 100

Scientists have identified a group of genetic variations that can predict with 77 percent accuracy whether or not a person will live to be 100 years old. The geneticists say that though this discovery can only work to satisfy people's curiosity about their longevity in its current state, it also could one day be used to identify people destined to die young, allowing doctors to come up with interventions that could work to extend these at-risk patients' lives.
