Hey everyone!

I just wanted to give you all a heads up!

I tested positive for swine flu on Thursday!

Now in case anyone did not know diabetics are in the high risk group so If you are feeling sick even with just cold like symptoms get tested! I only have a sore throat and a burning cough and when I went to lookup the symptoms of swine flu those were only 2 on the list of like 15, So I did not think I has swine flu but I went to the doctor anyway, even my doctor did not think I had swine flu, she tested me for strep throat and it came back negative but when she found out I was a diabetic she decided to do a swine flu test just to be sure, and she came into my room and said she was surprised that my test came back positive! So normally people without immune system issues, like diabetes don’t get any medicine they are told to just go home and sleep it off, but since I have diabetes be prescribed me Tamiflu! Anyway the whole point of this sharepost it to warn you, don’t think you have to have serious symptoms to have swine flu, I didn't and I ended up testing positive! If you feel at all sick get tested and me on the safe side because swine flu will take a harder toll on you if you are a diabetic and you are not getting medicine! I hope this helped!

Peace and I hope no one else gets the H1N1 virus!

Hey Hilary!

I'm sorry you got the swine flu! How are you feeling now? I was sick for a couple days, but no fever or cough. I have a friend who has it but I'm not sure how long the symptoms are expected to last, do you know?

Thanks posting your warning. I hope you feel better really soon!

Hi Ginger,

Right now I am feeling better, but I have to stay home for a few days to keep from getting others sick. I am not sure how long the symptoms last I have been having them since Thursday, My doctor says they can last up to 7 days. Thanks for the warm wishes.
