Q: body over heating/turning red and rash like swelling

By Danjo92 Friday, December 11, 2009

Hey lately i've been getting really painful prickly feelings in my body when I work out or get too hot, and when this happens my body turns red like flushing and the cells on your arm that causes goose bumps swell and makes it look like you have a rash.

This painful feeling only lasts for at the most right now thirty seconds, but the red and "rash" linger for a few minutes, I think its because my body is getting too hot and cant cool down so it draws all the hot blood close to the skin, what do you think??

Is anyone else here experiencing this?

I'm asking this because i want to know if this is possibly a diabetes related thing or if its allergys to insulin or anything else I am exposed to.

Hmmm. That sounds really annoying (and painful?). From what I've heard, insulin allergies are usually around the injection site, or are full-blown anaphylaxis. I would call your doc :)

hey Danjo,

The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is that you should ASK YOUR DOCTOR to test you for Celiac Disease because it can lead to skin rashes and inflammation.

Celiac disease is an intolerance to gluten -- which is found in most flour products (white flour, rye, barley) -- and everyone shows different symptoms of it.

A simple blood test with your doctor will tell you if this is the problem.

If it's not, like Maggie mentioned, it does sound like an allergy of some kind so your doctor will help you determine the source.

Go to the doc!
