If you are like me, you are always looking for new and improved ways of managing your health. Resources on nutrition, fitness, and diabetes control can be fascinating, and I read whatever I can get my hands on!

That being said, there are some excellent resources out there about diabetes and exercise, including books by diabetic fitness buffs, nutrition experts, and even a whole organization called DESA: the Diabetes Exercise and Sports Association. DESA is great because, just like our DiabeTeens website, it brings together a whole community of people with diabetes who are committed to staying in shape. The association sponsors events featuring really knowledgeable guest speakers as well as race/walks and professional sports games.

See the website for more info: http://www.diabetes-exercise.org/index.asp.

DESA has local chapters all over, so you should have no problem getting involved in some way!
