Wow, Svati, that totally sucks!
i hope your pump lasts you through the night!
i look at pictures of me a few years back and see my old pump in them and realise how old it was, and how outdated it is! but thank goodness for upgrading every so often!
okay i have two stories that come to mind.
1. we were in niagra falls for a vacaiton with our family friends, and i left my "Waterproof" pump on the counter in the bathroom as i took my shower. everything was fine and dandy untill we went to dinner and it would not allow me to bolus. it actually wouldn't allow me to do anything. and the screen would just flash and flash, and it wouldn't stop buzzing. So naturally we called the pump company tand they were sending us a new one asap, but infortunately to our house. so guess who had to go home early? :(
2. on my very first pump (minimed 508) i had blood back up into my tubing about a good four inches. we called the pump company and they said that they had never heard of such a thing, yadda yadda yadda, but they advised me to stop using the pump and they sent a new one, so i was on shots for a good 24 hours. it was not very fun. Especially when there wasn't any long lasting insulin in the house, i don't think... :( oh well.
Hope your pump un-dies, or you get one that works!!!
