Children With Diabetes (CWD) is an organization that, for many families affected by this disease, has become something of a second family. The website childrenwithdiabetes.com is an online forum and community where people from all over the country connect and support each other, sharing stories about doctors, blood tests, pumps, etc. CWD hosts conferences around the country at different times of the year, but its biggest one takes place in July in Orlando, FL. This is called the CWD "Friends for Life" conference (aka CWD FFL) - a fitting name, considering that this event is where a whole community comes together to share their experiences and have fun because of diabetes. I attended CWD FFL for the first time this year, and wrote a series of posts about the conference so others can get a taste of it.
