    For a 120 lb. female:

Carbohydrate:  .2 -.5 grams per pound of bodyweight
Protein:  .9 -1 grams per pound of bodyweight
Fat:  .1-.3 grams per pound of bodyweight.

    so...

    Carbs- 24-60 grams

    Protein- 108-120 grams

    Fat- 12- 36 grams

I would lean towards the maximum end for all these macronutrients

Are you saying around 60 carbs a day or each meal??  A day, right?

    Hey Tracy,

He is implying 60 grams of carbs total for the day. This is a lower-carb plan as suggested by the American Diabetes Association any many nutrition philosophies in general, for anyone wishing to lose or control weight, or anyone with diabetes.

As a person with diabetes, I can tell you when I've decreased my carbs to this amount, at first I was more succeptible to lows, but I was able to decrease my insulin dose overall (which is good: less insulin, less food stored as body fat), and my energy was a lot more stable because I wasn't spiking my sugar from higher carbs throughout the day.

Let me know how it goes! It's all about balance, and readjusting everything as you need to.
