First off, the dog in the picture is my dog Oscar. He eats everything from socks to jars of peanut butter. ***So, I have a degree in Nutrition & Food Science and Dietetics. I'm also a personal trainer and am considering going in to Endocrinology in the future. I don't have diabetes, but I've studied the disease in depth and even have a few glucose meters myself! ***I've competed in bodybuilding contests and a huge part of bodybuilding is nutrition -- and how to use carbohydrates and the insulin my body makes to my best advantage, so I've checked my blood sugar as a way of learning about how I process carbs (kind of like you all have to). I'm also GINGER'S TRAINER, and we've learned a lot about her diabetes while training her in bodybuilding by adjusting her carbohydrates and insulin dosages. (Ginger says, "I've learned more about my diabetes from Andrew than any endocrinologist!"). ***So, I'm here to talk about nutrition, exercise and diabetes. Nutrition and exercise are a major part of getting better control over your diabetes, but it's also really complicated. If you have any specific topics you'd like to learn about, send me a message!
