Hey Ginger!

I printed this out and I meant to show it today at my appointment, but I forgot Undecided. Also, I've been meaning to post again about how the CGMS went, but I just haven't found the time this week! I went in today to look at the readings and talk to the dietician again. My regular endocrinologist wasn't able to stop in so it wasn't as successful as I had hoped, and the readings were a little discouraging!! But I guess I should go back and read my last post and remember the positives, eh? Haha, we all get caught up in the mess sometimes, I'm sure you know how that is!

Hope you're doing well and thanks always for sharing uplifting and informative articles like this one!

Mary!

Discouragment is everywhere. Everywhere. I mean, personally, I'm trying to get in shape to compete in bodybuilding and losing the bodyfat is proving to be my biggest challenges. Putting on muscle, my body does well. But I've gotta keep remembering to ignore the discouraging stuff.

Persistence and patience, I try to remind myself! Just because we don't get it right all the time, the first time, or the second or third time, doesn't mean you're doing it wrong or are not going to succeed. Just means you're still figuring everything out, and that may be a continual process for us in a lot of different parts of life, diabetes or not!

Thanks for reading the interview :)

What a great story! I love reading these inspirational accounts of people with diabetes doing amazing things. 7,000 mile bike ride? That's incredible for anybody, let alone someone with diabetes who once had A1c's in the double digits. Makes me believe that there is still hope for me to get my body and diabetes in shape, too. Way to go, Peter Smile and thanks Ginger for such an encouraging interview.
