I know I can't do the low-carb diet for a long time, but I'm wondering if there's a benefit to doing it for just a little while? There are so many different opinions about it, and I kind of want to see what happens? Is it worth it to try for just a little while?

Your paragraph on hormones totally resonates with me. I have a 4:1 insulin: carb ratio for breakfast, whereas the ratio is 10:1 for the rest of the day. I end up eating a piece of fruit mid morning uncovered because my bg falls eventually, but if I didn't take that insulin my bg would be over 300, too, even if I had less than 10 carbs. Eek!
