Ellie! That is so exciting---you are awesome! Ah! I think crying from being incredibly proud of yourself is PERFECTLY COOOOOOOL!!!!!! Pinching is usually how doctors instruct us to give injections--yes. Just remember to let go before you take the needle out, otherwise some of the insulin might be pinched back out too!

So cool.

Yeah, I hate when insulin comes out! More so, I get annoyed when it bleeds a ton and I don't notice...and then I've gotten blood on my t-shirt, on my coat... :) hahaha. Yuck.

I've been uping my exercise amounts a lot lately, so as usual, it throws my blood sugars a little out of whack until I get everything adjusted properly. I find I need much less long-acting insulin when I'm in the gym a lot. This morning I ended up testing my blood sugar 5 times just to keep an eye out! I felt nuts! But it's all worth it, right?  :)

I did it again today , but it was at school and my friends said " good girl!!" lol

it bled aswell which i got worried about but it was all fine in the end!!
I cried again though!! And my friends all hugged me ofcourse!!!

Next week i have an options day , that's like what we want to do when i grow up and what subjects to take!

I decided i want to be a pedatric nurse ( childrens nurse)

So hard work all the way!!!

anyway so glad about today!

Getting there.=]

Hey congrats! how long have you had diabetes? its great your friends are supportive and its ok that you bled some,it happens to me all the time (the bleeding) it just means your not pinching enough fat or your pinching too much...i cant remember which it is...but dont worry about bleeding when taking a shot it just means you hit a vein and you'll heal up in a few seconds.

It's a big step to take injections without help...

When I was first diagnosed someone always had to pinch for me but I'd inject myself... especially when it came to arms... so when I wanted to be truly independent I stopped injecting my arms for a looooong time... I remember the first time I injected in my arm without any help though and I was so excited... keep up the good work!

Hey .

Congrats on your first injection by yourself ! :)

I've been a diabetic for only 2 years , and even tho I USE to be sacred to death of needles , the first night that I found out I was diabetic i gave myself a injection. I was amazed of myself too! :)

and yeah, again Congrats ! & all the best to youu! Big Grin
