Wow I had no idea that there are so many young people out there with the very same diabetes related issues as myself!!
For so many years I've felt so alone and scared, and when you feel alone with something that scares the @#ù$ out of you, you really start to feel alienated and even more alone.
I find inspiration in so many things lately, checking out websites, googling diabetic celebs(Halle Berry, Brett Michaels are my faves)testing out recipes.
I am getting better in some ways, others not so much, I'm still not so sure what to do about those crazy cravings that happen once a month when all I crave is pure milk chocolate covered salty crunchy something.
I am still convinced female diabetics have it tougher than guys, because of our crazy woman hormones.
My dad is a guy(obviously)with type one like me, but he doesn't crave chocolate or chips or greasey food, infact he dislikes most of it!!
Maybe I will just get my woman horemones removed, and life as a diabetic might be a little easier at least once a month!!

Roxy,
I'm happy to be a Diabetic Alien with you! :) You're going to have to copyright that phrase! :) "Diabetic Alien"
What if you try not to expect yourself to NEVER eat chocolate, but instead, allow yourself to enjoy it once or twice a week on specific days. That way you don't feel deprived as if you're never going to be able to eat chocolate again, but then you're also not going to binge on it when you do eat it because you know it's okay you're having it, you're going to have some again when the time comes and you won't feel so guilty?
Controlling overeating can often come down to being more self-aware of WHY you're overeating. Are you really that hungry for chocolate? Are you upset over something when you're craving chocolate?
Anyhoo, you're doing awesome, even on the days you eat chocolate.
