What a great post Maggie.  But ever wonder how decaffeinated coffee is made . There are toxic solvents  used in early decaffeination efforts, including benzene, chloroform, and trichloroethylene .

I have heard this about decaf coffees, as well. Some brands of coffee are advertised as being "naturally decaffeinated," but I'm not sure what this means. I'm interested to see what these chemicals do to the body--my guess is that long-term studies haven't been conducted yet, kind of like with artificial sweeteners.
