In addition, it's vital that you enjoy the exercise you're doing. Although it's important to be patient with your fitness level, finding an activity you'll stick with and enjoy is a great pathway to health. For example, I played lacrosse and soccer for two years, but I've recently found that running and swimming are my true passions. Find a sport or activity that excites you, don't just exercise to burn calories.
