Lately, I've noticed that when someone tells me they know a diabetic, I instantly say, "Type 1 or Type 2?" and if they look confused I say, "Type 1 takes shots or has a pump. Type 2 is usually diagnosed later in life and is just pills." And then we can kind of decipher which variation of the disease they're really talking about.
I should probably read the paper you wrote on Celiac---I've never taken much time to research it since my diagnosis because as long as I just avoid gluten, it's like the disease doesn't really exist...but there is probably something to learn about i! Eh?
