Anna -- this is an AWESOME article.
You are doing exactly what a lot of people with diabetes don't realize they need to do: research and adjustments for different types of activity.
Our basic carb-to-insulin ratio always cut it!
When I take insulin for my carbs and protein shake after a workout I adjust the dose based on the workout, based on whether I'm going to be going for a walk after or teaching a yoga class, etc.
Every little things has its impact!
