Everything seems better in the summertime- the weather, the fresh food, the parties, and the festivals. Everything, that is, except my blood sugar. For some reason, I seem to have many more highs and lows during the summer months than any other time of the year.

Hey,
Whats wierd to me is that my BS are bad in the winter, good in the summer. Probabl because i dont excersize as much as i do in the summer. But, you seem to be different, my friend denise is on the pump (along with everyone besides me) and her BS were up and down too, then she started taking lantus, its an injection that sould last around 20 hours to keep a steady BS. I serisouly suggest you try it, she loves it, i've been on it for like two years, awsome. It will deffinatly help you with keeping steady during excersizing to, it does for me. But get back to me and tell me what ya think you'll do. keep me posted on your long workouts w/ blood sugars to if you'd like, just curious. your pretty much the only person who does anything that i know if on this.
Thanks,
Mark Woolf

I seem to have the exact same problem as you. During the school year I was in a routine, and dancing 5 days a week. My blood sugar levels stayed very consistant, only dropping low or going high every once in a while. However, since summer started, my sugar levels have been very irregular. They seem very high after I eat, even though I cover what I eat and correct if needed. Then, after exercise my levels drop very low. I'm so confused about the inconsistency but am working to figure it out. I'm interested to see how it goes for you.
