My little brother was just diagnosed with diabetes. I don't know much about the disease, but want to help him however I can. What's the best thing I can do for him?

GREAT question!
If I were you, I'd sit down with your brother and try to learn about the diabetes with him. Learn about insulin and what different readings on his blood glucose meter mean. Learn about counting carbs (try for a day or two to count YOUR own carbs while he's counting his).
And something that always helped me: give him a high-five after he checks his blood sugar NO MATTER what the reading was. Even if it's high, give him a high-five for checking his blood sugar in the first place, because he's making the effort to take care of himself.
Just know that you're there with him learning about this new disease will be HUGE for him. I promise!
When I was diagnosed, my brothers were very supportive of me when I was in the hospital. This helped a lot. I suggest that you just let your brother know that you will support him and will help him if he ever has a problem with his supplies or levels. It was very helpful to me when I was diagnosed and I still know that they will help me when I need it.
