Hi Robert,

We all have different insulin needs depending on our body size, our activity levels, our nutrition. And those needs can change significantly throughout your life depending on your habits and activity level, stress at work or home, etc.

(here's an article on adjusting insulin for these reasons!)

So, for you, 108 Units of Lantus might be right if that's what you're doctor recommended for you. That is a lot of insulin. If I took that much for my body I would be seriously dangerous low all day and would have to eat non-stop and give myself glucoagon injections to counteract all that insulin.

Is this what your doctor recommended?

Here are some other links to nutrition, etc.
