what should your fsbs reading be 2 hrs after eating if you are insulin resistant?
I have just been diagnosed as being insulin resistant and my dr wants me to record my fsbs readings 2 hrs after eating and i'm not sure what the normal range for this should be.
Hey there,
If you're "insulin resistant" it sounds like you may actually be a Type 2 diabetic instead of Type 1. With Type 1, your body doesn't make any insulin. In Type 2, your body still makes insulin but it may not be enough for your body's needs or your body may not be sensitive enough to (insulin resistant).

I hope this helps!

Either way, "normal blood glucose levels" before a meal are between 80-120, plus or minus some. After a meal, it can go higher around 160 or so, but still aiming for 120.
I hope this helps!
