Your boyfriend needs to pursue on his own how to take better care of his diabetes.
If he has TYPE 2, he could check out our other site www.healthcentral.com/diabetes/
If he has Type 1, which requires regular insulin injections, he needs to make an appointment with his endocrinologist where he can go over changes in his diet and his insulin dosages so he can get tighter control over his blood sugars.
Just because his blood sugars sometimes go high doesn't mean you should worry too much. Diabetes is a really hard disease to control and occasional high blood sugars are expected. More concern is appropriate if he allows his blood sugar to stay that high for several hours or most of each day. Either way, it sounds like a visit to his doctor would be a great idea right now.
