I did a fasting glucose test a ten hr fast. My glucose # came back at 8.5 What does thiws mean am I

Hi Wanda,

 

Were you performing this test for a doctor?  8.5 for a non-diabetic is a little bit above normal range so if I were you I would head on back to the hospital, to the ER and ask to  examined for Type II diabetes. If you had Type I, it would be a bit higher.

 

To be diangosed with diabetes, you need to see a doctor and be sure that they can look at everything! We can't diagnose a disease through the internet and especially not without a doc.

 

I know it's scary, but you've gotta go find out what your body needs!
