Is hot yoga a safe exercise for a type1 diabetic?
My friends are joining a hot yoga course and have invited me to join them but I fear t will induce hypos....any recomendations?
Yes, definitely, BUT YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY prepare your blood sugar like you would for any intense exercise: eat your carbs and keep carbs with you in the yoga class, next to your mat. For example, my body would want to have between 40 to 50 grams of carbs not covered by insulin for a bikram yoga class (hot yoga class).
