Q: At times my legs hurt and I can't walk. It's like a whole body pain, especially my neck.

I hope someone can answer my question. It all started may 24 2008, I had a real bad headache; I felt dizzy and I could barely drive. Then my face went dumb. I went to the doctor and all kinds of head scans and everything came back negative. Then I went in to have a DHE treatment for migraines. That didn't work completely, it only brought my pain level down to where i could bare it.  Then after that I started to have real bad body aches. My legs would hurt when I walked on them. Especially if I go from a cold room to hot room or vice versa.  The pain would be really bad. My hands and my feet go pail and numb when they get cold to the point that i can't move them. I have to go outside and let my hands warm up in order for me to move them. I had to go to the eye doctor because i had some type of eye infection. He said that the musles were inflamed, so he put me on liquid predisone. Then my regular doctor put me on pill predisone because he thought that it might be some type of inflamation. IT WORKED! I was pain free in about a week. But then last week the pain started to come and I began to feel tired all over again. I went back to the doctor to get my labs and all were negative. He now said that he didn't know what it was. I took my last dose of predisone two days ago. He told me to wait and if the symptoms come back, then I should call him and he would send me to hematologist. He knows something is wrong because because my eyes were inflamed but that's the only positive tests that he has.  A few years ago, I had these same symptons but they were not nearly has bad. And all my tests came back negative then too. So what's a girl to do! I had my galbladder removed about a year ago, she had a hard time getting it out because it had so much scar tissue that she didn't know about. Could that play a role in tell them what's wrong me.  COULD SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!! I AM 22 YEARS OLD, I HAVE MY WHOLE LIFE AHEAD OF ME!!!

Ask your doctor to give you a pet scan! I know that sounds wierd but it detects a lot of things!

Has anyone checked for MS?  The numbness, tingling, and all over sensations that are recurring/remitting sound very similar.  The doc will have to do an MRI specifically searching for MS ... there is medicine available .... best of luck!  I will be praying for you!

They said that it wasnt MS. But now a year later, most of my symptoms are gone. This happens every 2 to 3 years, and nobody seems to know what is wrong with me. I guess i have at lease 2 good years ahead of me; i am gonna do all have to do in the mean time before i get sick. Any other advice you have?
