I found this site, diabetesinsipidus.org, which may be able to help you find the answers you need.

From what I can gather, diabetes insipidus is a disorder in which the hormone vasopressin that contributes to the normal functioning of the kidneys does not work properly in the body. This causes increased urination and extreme thirst. Whereas type 1 diabetes occurs when the body cannot produce insulin, the hormone that stimulates the pancreas to regulate blood sugar.
