That's great thanks for your help. I actually started off on 20 units of Lantus but was waking up low every morning so my doctor decreased my dose to 18 units. This is working well for me, I just had the question, as last week I was quite high before taking my Lantus due to too much for lunch and not enough Novarapid,and wondered whether taking Lantus when bs is high determined the background being high until 6pm the next day.   Thanks Again,   Dee
