YOu'll see down in the answers I explained some of the ways Latnus works.   http://www.healthcentral.com/diabeteens/c/872673/67420/comments     To answer your question briefly here, I used to take Lantus in the morning but found that it was tapering off too soon by morning and the mix of other hormones going on in your body in the AM was making my blood sugar high. So I take it at night before bed now.   -Ginger
