I was diagnosed with gastroparesis the year 2010. I had a pacemaker placed the following year. I still occasionally have symptoms and I am prescribed Domperidone in conjunction with the pacemaker. I know that nausea, early satiety, abdominal pain and bloating, along with a few other unpleasant things are symptoms of this disorder. However, my question for you is: can back pain be associated with gastroparesis? I ask b/c sometimes I will wake up in the morning feeling very nauseated and have abdominal pain, but I'll also have very severe back pain that makes it hard for me to do anything until it's gone. Is this typical of gastroparesis? Or is it likely a symptom of something else? Thanks for writing the article on gastroparesis and I look forward to receiving a response.
