It’s downright irritating to have snake oil salesmen and con men continue to confuse Internet readers with claims of diabetes cures. It’s all over the place: today, Googling for the phrase “diabetes cures” found about 2,170,000 webpages, including some bla...

I have had Diabetes since 1998 and have heard all kinds of crazy schemes promising cures. Like you, I'm sick and tired of these charlatans playing on the hopes of people with this disease. I live in Missouri (The Show-Me State)and won't believe a cure for Diabetes exists until I see it for myself. I have been on Byetta for over two years now and am doing my best to live in a healthy manner to keep any serious damage to my body at bay as long as possible. That way, maybe there will be  better treatments in 10 or 20 years for Kidney damage, eye and nerve problems. I can't worry about what might or might not come to fruition somewhere down the road; I have to concentrate on today.

BEING A DIABETIC OF NOW 41 YEARS AND IN THE MEDICAL FIELD FOR THE LAST 19, I HAVE HAD TO COME TO GRIPS WITH THE SIMPLE FACT THAT HERE IN  THE US THERE WILL NEVER BE A CURE. SUPPRESSED BY THE SIMPLE NUMBERS THAT DIABETES HEALTHCARE (EQUIPMENT METERS, STRIPS ETC., MEDICINES ORAL AND INJECTED AND THE DRS. AND SPECIALIST WHO ARE OUT THERE) EQUALS A MULTIBILLION DOLLAR A YEAR INDUSTRY.  NOW IF THAT WAS TO COME TO AN END WITH A CURE A LOT OF HARD WORKING PEOPLE WOULD BE OUT OF WORK. BUT THAT COULD BE A GOOD THING IF THE COMPANYS CHANGED OVER TO ANOTHER DISEASE AND WORKED ON GETTING IT ELIMINATED.

OTHER COUNTRYS ARE WORKING ON A CURE AND I WOULD LIKE TO BELIEVE THAT SOMEDAY THERE WILL BE A CURE AVAILABLE TO ALL, ESPECIALLY THE CHILDREN ( MY SON WAS DIAGNOSED AT 2 1/2 NOW AGE 5.) BUT BEING A REALIST I KNOW THAT THE CURE WON'T COME FROM THE US, SAD TO SAY BUT VERY TRUE. FOR THE ABOVE MENTIONED REASONS.
