Hello Doctor Quick

Have you heard of "Jennifer's Advice"? I know some of your fellow experts on this site have. You will find it in many places on the web, but this is probably the main version:  Newly Diagnosed

The problem with the testing advice offered by many doctors is that they don't tell their patients how to make good use of the results. If a test doesn't provide information that can either inform the doctor or help us take action to improve, why bother? But if the result is used to analyse what caused it and to try to change things to get a better result next time then it can be very valuable indeed.

I would be interested to read your comments on that method, or on the variant I used myself described here: Test, Review, Adjust

Alan:

I completely agree: checking blood sugar values is totally useless unless the patient has some guidance on how to use the information that was gathered. As I said, "...that's the subject of another discussion sometime soon."

Very best wishes,
