I just need to mention that diabulimia is NOT, i repeat NOT a combination of diabetes and bulimia. It is the OMISSION of insulin in order to lose weight. Some eating disorder specialists and doctors consider it more closely related to anorexia as it is more of a starving syndrome (starving self of insulin) then a binge/purge cycle. For this reason it is not technically a portmanteau word, and often mis represented by the media.
