Since for the reasons you cite I cannot take metformin what's your take on victoza? That's what is being suggested for me if tomorrow's A1c is high.

Victoza is a new injectible medication for T2D. Ask your physician why he/she isn't starting you with a sulfonylurea (older, cheaper, reasonably safe except for the risk of hypoglycemia) or another oral medication.
