Wow, it is amazing what ends up being printed. If it was an article put in by the drug company, the publishers shouldn't have let that fly!
As a dietitian, I worked with a dr. for a few years who (for this reason) wouldn't use any drugs until it had been around for 5 years. That kept me from recommendeing Byetta (which has been on the market only about that long). But, there are many drugs he never prescribed and then those drugs ended up off the market. So, maybe this is a good rule of thumb. It is good that you are looking at your sources though. You are on top of things!
