Insulin pen use in the US vs elsewhere

We have much better access to health insurance than the rest of the U.S.. At least in MA I can BUY my own insurance as a self-employed person with diabetes.


But over the past 2 years all the local insurers have stopped covering pens. One will let you have them if you are blind and get a note from your doctor. The other will give you a 10% discount on the retail price, but that's it.

 

Does that explain why people aren't using pens? I think so!
