Watch Out for Stem Cell Spams Too!

Dr. Bill,
My blog is getting hit by spammers promoting "stem cell cures" for diabetes which they offer now.
People with diabetes need to know that while there is interesting basic research going on, there is currently NO stem cell treatment that can cure or reverse any type of diabetes.
Beware of anyone who tries to tell you that effective treatments are being suppressed by the FDA and offers to give you expensive stem cell infusions.
Here is a link to a brochure (pdf) which discusses legitimate stem cell treatments and warning signs you should look for when approached by scamsters:
