First, I am not a Doctor. Nor do I have diabetes, however my Mother has diabetes.

I can offer no medical advise, but I must disagree with Dr. Quick's statement "Sadly, there's really not much available to help this loss of sensation."

I personally know a woman in Atlanta, Ga. who has had Type 1 diabetes for over 40 years.  She had neuropathy. 12 years ago she discovered a nutritional product that not only reversed the neuropathy symtoms, she was also able to reduce her insulin 50 - 60% a day. Today she has as much energy as my nine year old daughter, and a lifestyle she never dreamed possible.

I've been told that diabetes will become the number one killer in America this year.  If you suffer from diabetes or even high blood sugar, then you need to hear about this amazing nutritional product.  It will change your life.

If the reader were to Google the e-mail address that is provided by this writer, one will find an 800 number to call.

If one were to call the 800 number, one finds a sales pitch for an organization that has a website.

If one were to go to the website, one finds it is a MultiLevel Marketing scheme that includes a pitch for a product that "help[s] to maintain healthy blood sugar levels and support weight loss."

As Quackwatch points out, many MLM distributors make misleading statements, "that could frighten people into taking dietary supplements they do not need." I sincerely doubt the case study that the writer provided is anything other than fiction, and even if it's true, it's unlikely to be solely related to taking some OTC product.

I won't bother to write to the e-mail address the writer provided, and I wouldn't bother if I were you.

Its unfortunate that some people make judgements on businesses other than their own, without taking the time to check it out themselves. If the good Dr. really investigated the company, he would find a 21 year old, debt-free company traded on NASDAC. Then he would realize that a public company could not be a "scheme", but rather a company made up of healthy, hard-working distributors who are genuinely helping hundreds of thousands of people in 14 countries get off medications that are causing side effects...like my friend, Robby, who'd tried supplements, medications, shots, light treatments and eating TOTALLY organic for 3 years to treat his eczema...eczema so bad that he could not hug or be hugged, nor ever go into the ocean...until he started drinking products from our company. Now he is 80-90% symptom-free of eczema. Does it lend credence that our company has a squeaky-clean reputation of no law suits?
If the doctor REALLY wants to "check out" the company and the food science behind it, he should come to Perimeter Marriott Hotel, 246 Perimeter Center Pkwy, Atlanta, GA 30346 on Thursday, June 25 at 7:00p.m. and ask questions of the head of the Research and Development Dept, DR. Carl Hastings.

    Dr. Quick,

Thank you so much for responding to my post.

First, I would like to apologize for neglecting to give my name.  It was an error on my part,
but I was so excited to share the hope that I have found.

My name is Laura Baker, and yes I am an Independent Distributor for a Multi Level Marketing Company. I am honored to represent a company that, through it's Foundation, feeds over 42,000 (formally) malnourished men, women, and children in impoverished areas every single day.

You are 100% correct with your point, "If the reader were to Google the email address that is provided by this writer, one will find a 800 number."  That is so cool, I didn't know you could do that.  However, it is true. It is my 800 #. And if you email me, I will contact you personally.

You are also 100% correct with your statement, "If one were to call the 800 #, one finds a sales pitch for an organization that has a website."  I prefer the term recorded information about our business opportunity as opposed to sales pitch. And yes, we have a website.  Don't you?

I also will concede that if one were to go to the website, one finds a MLM company (not scheme, this is a completely legitimate business model in the U.S.A, and our company is publically listed) and yes we do offer a product to helps maintain healthy blood sugar levels and support weight loss.  Don't you? And if you don't, why not?

Again, you are absolutely correct "As Quackwatch points out, many MLM distributors make misleading statements, 'that could frighten people into taking dietary suppliments they do not need.'" However you do not know me, and I assure you that I detest those tactics as much as you do.  All I know is that these products have changed my life.

Dr. Quick, I do have to share that I was not pleased when you inferred that the case study I provided "is anything other than fiction."  You are calling me a liar without any basis
whatsoever.  It is completely, totally, and unequivically true, and I would be happy to introduce you to her.  You assume because you have not experienced this yourself that I am lying.  That is your right, However, you are misinformed.

As for the rest of your comment, "and even if it's true, it's unlikely to be solely related to taking some OTC product."  There again you are emphaticlly correct.  You cannot get our products OTC at any store.  The only way to get our products is through an Independent Distributor (it doesn't even have to be me). The reason our founders chose MLM as our business model was to allow us the freedom to create and manufactor the highest quality products.  Our company is completely debt free and we own our manufactoring facility for that very reason.

Meet Dr. Carl W. Hastings Vice Chairman and Chief Scientific Officer, oversees XXXXX research, development and manufacturing. Dr. Hastings obtained a Ph.D. in food science from the University of Illinois and has spent nearly 40 years in food product research and development. For Mead Johnson & Co., Dr. Hastings conducted key research on sterilized liquid nutritional food products for adults and infants, and developed low-calorie foods marketed under the Weight Watchers label. With the A.E. Staley Company, Dr. Hastings developed new applications for food ingredients developed from corn and soybeans, including starch, sweeteners, protein and fiber. Dr. Hastings joined XXXXX International shortly after its founding in 1988. He holds US patents for 5 of our products and has patents pending on several more.

Dr. Hastings is the person who devoloped the above metioned product. It is an honor for me to be affilitated with him through this company. As a matter of fact, he will be in Atlanta, Ga. June 25th.  If you would like to meet him and the woman in my first post (along with many others who have had amazing results), please contact me either through my email or the 800#.  It would be pleasure to show you our company.

Now that you know, I would hope you would take the time to learn more about what we have to offer. Both your patients and your readers deserve your best.

Sometimes a gift comes in a disguise and it requires a little more information.

Correction sorry try again.  Go to www.interscience.wiley.com then enter Glucaffect in the search area. This should take you right to the clinical trial.

I lost my mother to the ravages of diabetes and it was horrible.  Fortunately, I was introduced to a clinically proven nutritional diabetic product that was proven in an 8 week study to lower fasting glucose levels by 30% and on average everyone in the study lost an average of 16 lbs.  I have numerous trucker drivers and many type 2 diabetics on a combination of 3 products and they all have normal sugar levels in just a short time.

My close friend was a type 2 diabetic for 23 years and when first diagnosed has blood sugar levels of over 700. He was put on the pill and in the last 8 years was on insulin.  I told my friend about a govenment patented nutrition along with the clinically proven diabetic formula when taken together immediately lowered his blood sugar from 180 to 100 the first week.  After being on these 3 products for 3 months having normal sugar levels, and all normal vital signs, he was taken off of insulin.  He has been off of insulin for over 80 days and was just at the doctors this week.  His A1C was now 4.1 from well over 10 from the start, sugar is at 95, BP, Triglycerides and cholesterol are all in normal range.  Also his sugar scabs are all gone, eye sight has improved, and has lost 26 lbs.  He is no longer on any prescription medication and the doctor is just totally amazed himself and told my friend he cant even explain how this can be possible.  He told him to just keep taking these products.  It is nice to know that finally their is a nutritional breakthrough that is working and we have numerous testimony to back the results we are hearing.  We do not make any medical claims, we do not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, but when you put these government patented clinically proven nutritional formulas in our bodies the miracle of the body is that it can heal itself from within.

Can this happen to your fingers/hands rather than your feet/toes?
