About Me

I do not have diabetes, but I live with it every day of my life. My son has suffered from this disease since age 14 and has subsequently developed multiple endocrine failure (Type 1 Diabetes, Adrenal Insufficiency, Hyperkalemia, & Hypothyroidism). His twin brother developed the same conditions later, at age 26. I have done so much for my sons, but the thing that I would love to do most for them... cure their diabetes... is beyond my abilities. Through my son's courage and optimism, I an reminded daily to cling to the little bit of hope that I still have.
