Friday, October 10, 2008 at 08:39 PM5.3 that's awesome! I cut reese's out about a week ago...lol it's not a hard thing to do:) I for some reason I went through a Reese's spell; I am glad that's the only candy I do like. I am bad about preaching I am getting better. I offer my opinion only when asked. I do provide websites for people if they ask.

Friday, October 10, 2008 at 08:44 PMThanks! I have told people when they ask how I can resist candy, "It's easy, I love my toes, on my feet. Keeping my BGLS under control is one thing I can do to keep them there". I have known too many diabetics who have died by inches, I'm going to do all I can to make sure that doesn't happen to me.
Hugs,
G

Thursday, December 11, 2008 at 07:14 PMIt is not easy to be Diabetic but it is a lot harder to live with the consequences. I have been fortunate to have a wonderful medical team and they have really helped me keep my a1c at about 5.0.
I get really frustrated at people who have had family members lose limbs, sight etc and still don't take diabeties seriously.

Hi!
I don't have sweets or carby snacks, don't eat them, don't want them. Easier to stay on track, and keep levels down to near 'normal' . About the only 1 we share is the preaching, and I too am trying to do better. If asked ( how much time to do you have?) I will gladly explain how I keep my A1C at 5.3, but since I don't like to be nagged at I'm sure others don't so I'm trying to hush when I see a diabetic friend put M & M's in her mouth. But it's hard!
Hugs,
Gracie
