Congrats David on your great results of Omega 3's !! They are keeping you young. I expected nothing less. I am not a fish eater, so I take 2 servings of Nature Bounty's Fish Oils that are odorless. I was wondering if you recommend additional flaxseed capsules, or borage oil capsules for those of us who do not eat fish.
Borage oil is high omega 6! Don't do it!
From wikipedia:
"Borage seed oil is derived from the seeds of the Borago officinalis (borage). It is used medicinally as an anti-inflammatory, for treating arthritis, as well as certain skin conditions (e.g. atopic dermatitis) and respiratory inflammation.[1] It has one of the highest amounts of gamma-linolenic acid (omega-6) of seed oils - higher thanblackcurrant seed oil or evening primrose oil, to which it is considered similar. GLA makes up around 24% of the oil typically. A specific extraction process may offer purified products with 50%+ GLA content. [2]"
Good question about flax capsules and borage oil for people who don't eat fish. The problem with them, however, is that they are the short-chain omega-3, which our bodies don't convert well to the long-chain omega-3 that we use, unless we get our omega-6 levels down first. I know this is complicated, but I explained it in detail in a recent post here.
If you don't eat fish, the best alternative is krill oil. See http://www.healthcentral.com/diabetes/c/17/20232/krill-oil/
Best regards,
David

PS: The Holman Diet (What Dr. Holman eats on a daily basis), omega 3 eggs for breakfast, sardines or fish with 2 cups of mixed vegetables at lunch and a fish dinner at night. His highest scores for omega 3 came without supplementing similar to you. You and Dr. Holman are a true testament to the dietary effects of omega 3!
David:
Wow -- what wonderful lab results! I'd like to say that I'm jealous -- but that would infer that I'm trying as hard as you to manage my Omega 3 fatty acids.
Your results have incited me to have my current levels tested, then change my diet as needed. Thanks for being a positive role model for us!

It must be great to find a place that has abundant seafood in its many forms and have it readily available. Secondly if one purchases fresh fish a misnomer at best, it costs a fourtune.
When you live in So. California not much is fresh and the selection is very poor.
Taking fish oils may work for some but it makes me severly ill. In Googling the problem I have found many who have the same problem and can't take these oil. I have tried everything from Vital Choice's Salmon oil to many others with no luck and horrible abdominal pains along with other symptoms.
I have to make do with some tinned Tuna and the occasional cod fish that I find in the sotres that is not imported from China.
Take care and good luck to all.
I do envy all the fresh fish.
