David,
I know the reason for injecting after a meal is to keep bllod sugar from dropping too low, but is there any reason you can't say have a light snack at 5:00 dinner at 6:00 and inject at 6:15. Everything I read says don't inject after eating. Is that just because you need to eat after injecting or is there a problem with having food before injecting as long as you also eat after injecting.

Yes, that's my understanding -- that if you inject after a meal your blood glucose will drop too low. But I haven't tried it myself and don't intend to.
David,
Thank you. It almost seems backwards to me. I wanted to double check. I found out about my Dibaetes about 2 months ago at that time my blood sugar count was over 400. Doctor has tried several different meds. Nothing would bring it below 200. With only one injection so far blood sugar already dropped to 150. Looks like this is going to work.

Good for you! Stay the course!
