Drug Interactions

By David Mendosa, Health Guide Thursday, July 29, 2010
My friends at Diabetes in Control have just updated their valuable list of drugs that can cause us problems. The URL is http://www.diabetesincontrol.com/images/tools/DrugListAffectingBloodGlucose.pdf They sent their list to me in their weekly email, but it’s also available on their website as...

Thanks for the list.  Carvidelol and Furosomide.  A few others that I recognize, both hyper and hypo.  I'm going to highlight the drugs I'm taking currently, and showing them to my doctors, and see what else they might have to say.

I see several drugs on both the hyper- and hypoglycemia lists, Prozac for one. How do I find out if and how these drugs affect my blood sugar? I take some of them at the same time in the morning.

The only way is to test before and after taking the drug.
