Diabetic Podcast Interview: Managing Diabetes and Spreading Awareness Passion

By David Mendosa, Health Guide Sunday, August 22, 2010
If you decide that this post is shameless self-promotion, you would be half right. The people at Diabetes PowerShow say some nice things about me on their website. But when they interviewed me last week, somehow I thought that I might have said a thing or two that would interest you. Since I went on...

Both Joe and I listened to the Power Show and loved it.  Don't forget to link your articles to Facebook , so all your friends can enjoy.

There is a new platform on the market, different from Apple, the Google's - Android. I have Droid-X, so how may I listen to you on that phone - please I want to learn all that I should do to bring my A1C down from 9 to normal. My infrastructure is 164 lbs, 6' just right for a 65 yrs younger!!

Thank you.

Dear Ashwani,

I don't know how you could listen on your phone. But you certainly can listen on your computer.

You were talking about iPhone, iPad, itunes etc. That is why I mentioned about Android platform. While driving a vehicle, I can listen from my smart phone when it is stationed in its dock. When I am on computer, the focus is on different things.

The best time to listen to anything or everything is when driving, the brain can easily do multitasking, including driving, watching road & traffic, and focussing on the what is being spoken on the smart phone which effectively is a micro computer.

Your comment was curt and incomplete.

Best wishes.

Dear Ashwani,

I am sorry that I offened you. My response was indeed brief. I did not mean it to be curt, just that I don't know anything about your phone. That's why it was incomplete.

Best regards,

David

It is still incomplete. I talked about a platform - like Apple is a platform with i...., similarly Android is a platform innovated by one of the largest entity in this world - Google. Applications are developed for both these and some other platforms. If your application is available on itunes to be used on Apple devices, my inquiry was a suggestion for you to make it available for Android platform as well.

You do not need to know about my phone. You need to consult your software friend, how you may extend the readership for the other platforms. Introducing verstality is the first norm in the DESIGN. Design is an entity used in any kind of creation - even your blog.

Best wishes

Dear Ashwani,

I see the problem now! Thanks for clarifying. It looks like you think that I have an app on iTunes. I don't have any apps or programs at all. I just write about diabetes (and run a local diabetes support group).

Best regards,

David
