I have seen the future and it works.Until now, all the computer programs for logging our blood glucose numbers were incomplete. Still, for the past 15 years I have tried to include all those programs in my directory of Diabetes ...

Anita Mathew of Glooko Inc. today, "I wanted to share our newest news with you.

"So yesterday, we had Glooko hit 3 major milestones.

"1.  We are compatible with ACCU-CHEK Meters and ACCU-CHEK has agreed to co-promote the Glooko products with us.

We launched the new Glooko IR Adapter, an accessory for the Glooko MeterSync Cable.  Now you can download readings from your ACCU-CHEK meter into the Glooko Logbook app on your iPhone® or iPod touch.  We are compatible with these ACCU-CHEK meters:

    ·      ACCU-CHEK® Aviva

    ·      ACCU-CHEK® Aviva Nano

    ·      ACCU-CHEK® Compact Plus

    ·      ACCU-CHEK® Nano

"See our joint press release with ACCU-CHEK for more details.

    2.  Glooko products are now available for purchase in Europe.  Starting today, people can purchase both the Glooko MeterSync Cable and Glooko IR Adapter at Amazon.co.uk.

    3.  There is a new version of Glooko Logbook available at the iTunes App Store

First and foremost, the new version supports ACCU-CHEK meters.

Secondly, given Logbooks are crucial to the physician patient relationship and help in making the time together productive, this new version of Glooko Logbook has animproved “Share” functionality, including AirPrint and the ability to open your logbook summary in other iPhone apps such as iBooks."

I HAVE HAD TYPE 1 64 YEARS. NEVER FELT AS CONFIDENT AS NOW WITH THE NEW DEXCOM SEVEN CGM.   THE PRINTOUTS ARE ACCURATE AND PROVIDE ALL THE INFORMATION NEEDED TO MANAGE BETTER EVERY FACET  FROM FOOD, EXERCISE AND INSULIN,  AND TO UNDERSTAND  WHAT YOU  HAD TO GUESS AT BEFORE..  BEST TOOL SINCE THE METER.

David:  Thanks for letting us know about the glookos app.  It seems way less than ideal for me though as I assume that it requires that we manually enter in carbs and insulin data (bolus and basal).  Is that correct?

What would be more helful: Has anyone yet devised an app for the iphone that can read the enteries from a minimed insulin pump and then plot out those graphs and tables on the iphone?  That would already have carbs, insulin amounts and bg levels inside the pump since they can be wirelessly transmitted from multyiple meters to one's pump.  That's essentially how care link software functions but it's not an auto upload and it's a bit clunky.

    Does this exist yet?

Sorry, but to the best of my knowledge what you are looking for doesn't exist yet. This app is the best that I know of.

IT SOUNDS REAL GOOD BUT I DON'T HAVE ANY APPLE PRODUCTS OR PLAN ON BUYIG ANY. I HAVE A PC & A LAPTOP. I HAVE A ONETOUCH METER BUT NOT THE RIGHT ONE, IF THIS WILL WORK ON MY PC OR LT, I DON'T MIND BUYING A NEW METER

I see a major flaw in this "solution" too... it only works with the Apple phone and pad... I don't own either of those and don't plan on getting them... I have a computer and I upload my numbers to that system. I think limiting this to just Apple products is just as bad as Accu-Chek having an app that only works with their meters...
