Thanks for the walk down memory lane. It's funny to look back and figure out how we all got to where we are these days. Congratulations as you progress toward the title of prolific in front of 'a writer on the web'...

Most doctors seem to believe all the hype in the MSM.  If they actually did some reading using their supposedly scientific critical thinking skills instead of taking the word of the pharmaceutical salesmen most of us wouldn't be treated so poorly.

I've been on Byetta for about a year and I've lost 40 lbs and it's kept my blood sugars very steady, so I'm very happy with it.  I started at 260 and I weight 220 today.  I seem to have tapered off, but I've kept the weight off so that's a good thing.  I tell everyone I can, ask your Dr. for it.  I had one person tell me their Dr. said they were too fat for it, I told them to change Dr's.

Dear Evelyn,

Good for you! And excellent advice. I would say just the same thing!

I'm so pleased to hear the book is out. I pre-ordered it a while ago and I'm looking forward to reading it.  It was very interesting to read the history of it, thanks for sharing that.  I've been on Byetta a little over a year, and since last April, when my endo took me off Avandia, Ive lost 39 pounds.  My HbA1C has gone from 7.7 to 6.9.  I'm pleased and so is my doctor.  I've also been pleased with the study results showing that weight loss continues as patients continue on Byetta.  David, I am sorry for your loss.  The diabetic community owes you a debt of gratitude for continuing on with your writing during such a difficult time.

Dear Kat,

Thank you for your condolences. I also appreciate your ordering a copy of my book. Although you have made great progress on Byetta, I hope that my book will give you a few more tips to make even more!

Best regards,

David
