My fitness forum, which keeps excellent academic connections in all pertinent areas, has long recommended considerering one gram protein per pound of weight, both for weight loss and for building muscle.

Professor David Jenkins from the University of Toronto seems to be in agreement with Dr. Hamdy.
Dr.Jenkin states: "There's nothing new about the success of high-protein diets for weight loss - unless the protein that helps strip away the kilos comes not from a hunk of beef, but from plant foods.
